Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Excessive sweating, medically known as hyperhidrosis, involves overactive sweat glands. When sweating becomes excessive it can be embarrassing, uncomfortable, stressful and disabling.
A person's self esteem is often affected by excessive sweating due to the impact it can have on various aspects of your life - from career choice, style choices, sporting activities and relationships.
Hyperhidrosis is a condition that affects millions of people around the world. Uncontrolled sweating can occur in various parts of the body including under the arms, the palms of the hands and the feet. High temperatures and stress can increase perspiration however they don't cause hyperhidrosis. This condition may be an inherited trait or physiological condition that stops the body from regulating its temperature properly.
