NOTE: Pigment Laser Peel does not suit darker skin types How many treatments do I need? Most people will notice a visible improvement after the first treatment however for more significant photo damaged skin, up to 3 treatments may be required. How often do I need to have the treatment? For best results treatments can be performed monthly What will my skin look like after the treatment? How does my skin look after the treatment? (This will vary according to the size and strength of treatment)
What does it feel like? There is a low level of discomfort and heat from this procedure. A topical anaesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior to your treatment to limit the level of discomfort experienced. You will feel a prickling sensation during your procedure followed by a mild heating at which time cold air &/or ice is applied for 15-20 minutes. A warm glow may be felt on the skin for 48 hours after your treatment. Potential complications Complications, though rare, can occur. Patient must understand the importance of the pre and post care instructions and failure to comply with set instructions may increase the probability of complications. Failure to stay out of the sun, not wearing a broad spectrum SPF or picking areas of flaking can all attribute to side effects of hypopigmentation lightening or hyperpigmentation darkening of the skin.
