Tracy joined Academy Facial Plastics in 2006 as Practice Manager. She has worked in the medical industry for over 15 years including roles as a registered nurse and practice manager of GP and orthodontic practices. Tracy also has over seven years experience in corporate recruitment. She has completed a Diploma in Business (Human Resources) and is a member of the Australian Association of Practice Managers, Australian Institute of Management and Australian Human Resources Institute.
Shannon completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Edith Cowan University and has completed a Vocational Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing through AACDS. Since graduating, Shannon has worked in both medical and surgical wards and theatre, even spending some time as a nurse aboard a cruise ship, before settling into cosmetic surgery theatre nursing in February 2009. She worked as a theatre nurse at Academy Day Hospital (on site at Academy Facial Plastics) where her duties include theatre and recovery nursing and up until December 2012, she worked as a Dermal Therapist for Academy Facial Plastics where her duties include skin and treatment consultations, microdermabrasions, peels and IPL.
Shannon is now a Cosmetic Nurse Injector and performs a vast range of treatments for wrinkle fillers and wrinkle relaxers. Due to her experience as a cosmetic theatre nurse and dermal therapist, Shannon can offer her clients a very holistic approach for their rejuvenation concerns.
Lyn has 13 years injecting experience and a renowned reputation in Perth. She trained as an RN & midwife, working both in Australia and the UK where she specialised in neonates, theatre and recovery. Lyn also has experience in a range of dermal therapies such as IPL, microdermabrasion, peels and cosmeceuticals, so she can provide you with a holistic approach to your skin and facial rejuvenation. Erin joined Academy of Facial Plastics in 2010 as a cosmetic nurse injector. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Nursing) at Curtin University in 2005 and went on to complete the Vocational Graduate Certificate of Cosmetic Nursing through AACDS in 2010. Since completing her nursing degree, Erin has worked at Royal Perth Hospital in a variety of areas including the Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Division. She has also worked as a Sessional Clinical Supervisor for the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Erin's current role includes performing injectable fillers and wrinkle relaxers and is able to offer both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic advice.
Erin is currently on maternity leave.
Claire commenced with Academy as a Dermal Therapist late in 2007 and has an Advanced Diploma in Cosmetic Dermal Science. She has been active within the cosmetic and beauty industry since 1997 as both a practicing therapist and manager of salons and day spas across Perth. Claire is both nationally and internationally qualified (ITEC) to perform Pulsed Light Therapies for photo rejuvenation and permanent hair removal. She is a cosmeceutical specialist and has a special interest in skin rejuvenation and meeting her clients needs. Claire performs a comprehensive range of treatments including the Affirm Laser (skin tightening, acne scarring & stretch marks), skin needling, tattoo removal, microdermabrasion and peels.
Claire is available for initial consultations on all dermal therapies, injectibles and surgical and non surgical procedures by appointment.
Alana joined the Academy Facial Plastics team in 2011 as an experienced Dermal Therapist. Since completing the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science in 2007 she has specialised in dermal therapies including IPL, Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peeling.
Alana performs a range of services including Intense Pulsed Light for permanent hair reduction and photo rejuvenation, Microdermabrasion, Peels, Vascular laser and Coolsculpting. She is available for a complimentary consultation on all dermal therapies, tattoo removal and injectables by appointment.
Fiona trained as a registered nurse in England and graduated with a Diploma in Nursing Sciences. She has had several years of experience in the cosmetic surgery industry, working for a private cosmetic hospital in England and has also worked as a recovery nurse for a major teaching hospital. Her nursing role at Academy Day Hospital (on site at Academy Facial Plastics) includes pre and post-operative assessments, vascular Laser treatment and wound care. Fiona also assists Dr Oates with surgical procedures and is the Team Leader of the nursing team.
Fiona is available for complimentary consultations relating to injectables and cosmetic surgery.
Having been a Senior Medical Secretary for many years, Bronwyn joined Academy Facial Plastics 5 years ago as part of the administration team in the role of Client Coordinator. Bronwyn enjoys the field of cosmetic medicine and feels it offers an ongoing wonderful learning experience. She feels our clients are all special and thus looks after them very carefully.
Sonya joined Academy Facial Plastics in late 2007 as a Client Co-ordinator. She came to Academy Facial Plastics with 13 years of experience in the medical administration and secretarial field and has completed a BSA in Business Office Administration with the Australian Medical Association.
Sonya enjoys her role and the team environment at Academy Facial Plastics.
Shea joined Academy Facial Plastics in January 2013 as a Client Co-ordinator, and brings with her 4 years experience working within a similar role at a Skin and Laser Clinic in Melbourne. She has a keen interest in aesthetic procedures and became a qualified ITEC Beauty Therapist in 2002.
Shea is always keen to expand her knowledge within the industry in keeping with technology and consumer trends. She enjoys assisting clients to feel as comfortable as possible during their visits and finds it extremely rewarding when clients realise the full potential of their skin through treatments and procedures at Academy.
Barbara joined Academy Facial Plastics in July 2012 as a Client Coordinator after more than 11 years' experience working in the medical industry. Previous roles include an International Doctor Recruitment Consultant servicing many rural clinics around Australia, and a Practice Manager for a busy pre-employment medical clinic that counted the major mining companies of Western Australia as their clients. She also enjoyed 6 months of a fly-in, fly-out medical centre position on one of the largest iron ore mines in WA.
This is her first exposure to the cosmetic medicine field which she enjoys immensely. She is passionate about offering excellent customer service to the valued clients of Academy, and believes this is the most important aspect of her current role.
Jodie joined Academy Facial Plastics in July 2012 as a Client Co-ordinator and brings with her 20 years customer service experience from within the Health & Fitness, Cosmetic and Dental Industries.
Jodie enjoys her role as Client Co-ordinator, ensuring each client is as comfortable as possible during their visits and finds it rewarding to see our patients progress.
